Tapestry and quilts

This is what Reina's new room looks like. What a lucky girl eh? The green thing in the corner is a green pepper shaped basket. Our big find in Asakusa was a Totoro shop and we bought four tapestry, one for each season. Hiro and I had such fun buying cute but traditional Japanese decor for her room. She just adores it too!
And here is a close-up of the quilt my Auntie Yukiko made for my wedding present. It's a full size quilt made from Japanese aizomi dyed material. She is a spectacularly talented quilt-maker and as a teenager, I begged her to make me a bedspread and she always said, "For your wedding." (She supervised many little projects I did.) I'm so glad I got married!!! She's over 65 now and her eyes are that great so she's given up big projects. It's something I will always treasure. I certainly hope Reina will love it the way I have.
