Happy Whatever Holiday!!

Rio's idea of mixing culture and holidays. The mask is a hyoto-ko, a traditional comedian/clown. The Jack-o-Lantern is just that. It's really important to him that this photo got on the blog. Yes, that's our family Christmas Eve dinner!

Thank you grandma! Your gift money was the only present that arrived on time so the kids got to open the gifts they selected. Reina got a chocolate making kit and a Pokemon magic set. She already tried both today. She is also wearing the necklace from my friend Tricia. She already got her big presents which was a set of skis and a helmet. Tomorrow she gets Santa's presents!

Rio got three Bionicles with his money. He finished building them in less than 30 minutes. Still, he gets hours of play with them. The Advent Calendar behind him bought by grandma many years ago is our big family tradition. They like it more than our little tree... The goodies inside! You can also get a glimpse of our Ikea gingerbread house too!
It's almost Christmas Day in Japan. It's been a great holiday with parties, presents and cards. I feel extremely blessed.
My best wishes for a wonderful day everyone!!
